My entries in this year's exhibit were two acrylics I painted during Dorothy Wenz's classes at the Albrecht.
After the awards ceremony, several of us went Downtown to eat at Piatto 614, an Italian restaurant, as we did last year. Following the traditional rule that the winner buys drinks, Dot furnished the "Toast" round.
In the upper right photo in this collage of the event, Dot and I are talking with Jonathan Knight, a professional artist who was awarded a first place for his oil painting of a young girl (shown in behind my head in the upper left photo) and an honorable mention for his watercolor landscape. Sister Dot beat him out in the watercolor category, receiving a second place for her depiction of a Japanese dancer.
In the girls' group photo, note the photo bomb by Jane Graves' husband Brad.
